Comprehensive research is still emerging for this application for red light therapy, but initial studies have shown great promise. One study of dementia patients with an average age of 74 showed remarkable improvements across multiple testing formats.
They participated in two tNIR light sessions per day for eight weeks. Tests and improvements included logical memory (up to 48%), executive function (up to 73%), verbal learning and memory (up to 35%), sleep duration (an increase of 1 hour), mood (improved after 14-21 days), and more.[4]
